- Who is Hattie?
Hattie is a one year old recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
She has a rare genetic disorder which requires her to have very strong levels of chemo to get her better and she will be in hospital for months to receive this.
- Why Haka?
"Haka are a fierce display of a tribe's pride, strength and unity."
We started Hattie's Haka on her first day of chemotherapy to show our family we are dedicated to standing by them and keeping them strong. We have since invited other people to join us and we hope they appreciate we were looking for something that clearly said strength and unity; we couldn't think of a better war cry than the incredible Haka made famous by the mighty New Zealand All Blacks but used for many years by Maori tribes.
- Where is the money going?
The money is going to Leukaemia Care who support patients and families affected by blood cancers.
- How do I get involved?
